Polycentric pneumatic knee joint, designed for patients with unilateral or bilateral transfemoral amputation at any level, including knee joint disarticulation, with medium and high activity levels weighing up to 125 kg.
Pneumatic swing phase control with adjustable flexion/extension provides good adaptation to walking speed changes up to 6 km/h.
The polycentric design of the knee provides increased safety in stance phase and geometric shortening of the prosthesis in swing phase.
Since the stance angle is adjustable, the joint can walk as locked when in full extension, and as a free joint after taking the first step.
The instantaneous center of rotation of the knee joint is located in the forefoot area, which provides extra safety for users with the polycentric design.
