HOW DID WE START?

Ortotek A.Ş. has been serving the healthcare sector since 1993, producing and installing high-quality artificial limbs (prosthetics) for those with limb loss and high-quality assistive devices (orthotics) for those with limb loss. We have documented our principle of quality service under all circumstances with ISO-9001, ISO-13485, TS-12426, and TS-13181 quality certifications. In an effort to expand its core business of prosthetic and orthotic fitting services, we acquired distributorships to offer products from manufacturers serving the sector worldwide and producing high-quality technological products for use by people with disabilities in Turkey, and these products began to be used in patient applications. Initially operating solely with the goal of providing advanced, high-quality patient applications in-house, our center expanded its product range and established a professional sales network, recognizing that other fitting centers in the sector were unable to access products quickly and with sufficient quality. We also began providing technical support to fitting centers in need.

HOW DO WE PROCEED?

Recognizing that all products offered to other fitting centers were imported and that imports, even essential purchases, were a burden on the national economy, we implemented production projects to reduce imports. Production activities began with the production and commissioning of the basic products used in fittings. Following initial trials, some of the products, which meet world-class standards, began to be produced. Leveraging our domestic market experience, these manufactured products have begun to be exported through distributors to European countries, the Balkans, the Baltic Republics, Africa, the Middle East, Canada, the United States, the Turkic Republics, and some countries in the Far East.
